Growing up in the Madison, Wisconsin area, the Hults brothers knew it was the perfect spot to bring back their passion. Hults Hockey Camps brings experience from childhood to the pro level to help your athlete improve and navigate the sport. After Mitch and Cole made it to the professional level they knew it was time to give back to the community that helped build them.
Hults Hockey Camps offers a variety of opportunities for players young and old, as well as parents and families looking for assistance navigating the sport. Mitch and Cole have created a local hockey camp to help grow the sport in and around the Madison area, where players don’t have to leave the state — or the city for that matter. Hults Hockey Camps looks to make the Madison, WI area a hockey hotbed again.
Mitch's playing days started out in the small town Stoughton, WI where he started playing for the Stoughton youth hockey program. As Mitch’s career progressed he moved on to the AAA level for the Madison Capitols as a freshman and sophomore. Mitch finished his last two years of high school with Team Illinois while also getting the call up to the Indiana Ice of the USHL. While playing with the Indiana Ice, he was able to capture a Clark Cup Championship! Mitch played 3 1/2 seasons in the USHL with the Indiana Ice and the Madison Capitols. He continued to move up the ranks to college hockey for Lake Superior State University for two years before signing his first NHL contract with the Anaheim Ducks! Mitch’s last year with Lake State was his sophomore year while leading the team in points. Mitch has just completed his third year pro while being under 3 organizations including Anaheim, Tampa Bay, and Calgary’s system.
Cole reigns from Stoughton, WI where he grew up playing for the Stoughton Youth Hockey program, before transitioning into AAA hockey with the Madison Capitols. He then jumped into the USHL his senior year of high school and began playing for the Madison Capitols. Cole played 2 years there while leading the team in points his final year before heading to Penn State University. The summer before Cole went to college, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings. Through the three years Cole was at Penn State he became the leader in points by a defenseman in school history. After his junior year concluded Cole was awarded the MVP and defensive player of the year in the Big Ten while also being recognized as an All-American concluding his college career. Cole then elected to forgo his senior year and sign his first NHL contract with the Los Angles Kings.
